In low-lying level pasture; River Deel runs E-W to S of site and smaller stream runs N-S to W. Sub-circular depression (c. 1m N-S; c. 2m E-W; D c. 2m) with outflow stream running S into River Deel. Pipes inserted into well in recent times source water for nearby farm. In mid-1950s reported to be seldom visited though 'formerly very popular' (Ó Danachair 1955, 205).
