In wet pasture, immediately S of watercourse that forms townland boundary with Hammondstown. Rectangular-shaped earthwork (LI040-133----) now in forestry to S. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular shaped platform defined by a scarp with fosse transected at NNW by stream. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised circular shaped area (diam. c. 27m) defined by a scarp, with fosse truncated at NW by a watercourse running NE-SW. Monument visible on aerial photograph (BGE 1/5000 2571) taken 03/11/1984 on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Poorly preserved monument visible as depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map on the Digital Globe orthoimage. No surface remains visible on Google Earth orthoimage. See attached gas pipeline aerial image and Google Earth orthoimages.
