Ó Danachair (1955, 209) recorded the following details about Deborah's Well which he considered to be a doubtful holy well; ‘ "Deborah's Well" (not in Gothic) on 1840 map. "A well . . . Tobar Gobnait, i.e. the well of St Gabnet". OSNB. No tradition survives'.
Westropp (1904-5, 451) recorded that a pattern was held here at ; 'Tober Gobnait, or Deborah's Well. Pattern, August 3rd'
