In reclaimed pasture N of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Ballinvana and 350m W of the Morningstar River. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a possible deserted settlement (Strip Map 4 site 4/28) consisting of rectangular enclosures and field system during examination of Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000 2562; Site No. 040098) taken 03/11/1984. A cluster of 6 barrows (LI040-10006/012-) are located in S quadrant of field system. Visible as a pattern of linear cropmarks running N-S and E-W on aerial photograph (ASIAP (344) 16) taken 05/01/2003 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 04/04/2013. No surface remains visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/09/2019. See attached Bórd Gáis Éireann aerial photograph, ASIAP aerial image (344 (16) and Google Earth orthoimages.
