Monument described in 1943 as following; 'This is a simple flat-topped circular mound, with vertical sides, surrounded by a continuous but very shallow fosse. The overall diameter is 150' [45m] and the maximum height of the platform above the field level is 8' [2.4m]' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 170). Situated on poorly drained grassland the outline of this tree-covered earthwork is clearly visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs.
