In wet pasture 100m S of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Ballynamuddagh. Not depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised oval-shaped platform (dims. c. 80m NW-SE; 75m NE-SW) bisected by a drainage channel running NNW-SSE. Levelled earthwork surveyed by the ASI when all that survived was the slightly curved edge of an elevated area at W. The double drainage ditch which bisected the monument was described as ‘two parallel ditches about 2m deep between which there is a raised bank and must have been constructed for drainage purposes between 1840-1920’. No surface remains visible of levelled earthwork on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12. Cropmark of levelled earthwork visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
