What is recorded here

In pasture, on top of a broad rise. A circular earthen mound (base diam. 42.8m) with steeply inclined sides (Wth 9.25m; H 5.5m) and a circular summit (23.9m N-S; 24.7m E-W) which rises up very gently towards the centre (Westropp 1916-17, 490-1). The mound is partially covered by scrub overgrowth but where not covered by overgrowth has been poached by cattle; a concrete water trough is located at the base of mound at SSW. Near the centre of the summit is a concrete OPW plinth, and toward its E side is an OS trigonometrical station. On the W side is a fallen standing stone (LI039-09902-). The site is known locally as Knockdoha (Seoighe 2000, 211).
