In pasture 35m S of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Rathcannon. Enclosure (LI039-070002-) lies to immediate SE. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a non-antiquity where it shown as a narrow rectangular-shaped field. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a rectangular-shaped area (dims. c. 55m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by a bank and external fosse from N-E-S, transected at W by field boundary running N-S. Possible monument visible as a rectangular-shaped field delimited by scrub-covered bank on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimages. Doubtful antiquity, may be the remains of a rectangular shaped field of post-1700 date.
See attached Google Earth orthoimages.
