In reclaimed flat pasture, ringfort (LI039-023----) 280m to the W. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map an oval-shaped area defined by a scarp. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a sunken oval-shaped area (dims. c. 11m N-S; 14m E-W) defined by a bank from NW-N-NE and reduced to a scarp elsewhere. In 1840 the Ordnance Survey recorded this monument as ‘one of ten ancient forts’ in the N of the townland (OSNB Abbeyfeale to Bruree, 139). Levelled monument visible as circular-shaped cropmark on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 05/04/2006. Visible as a shallow depression on Google earth orthoimage taken 20/09/2020.
