In level pasture. Circular area (27.4m N-S; 28.2m E-W) defined by a scarped edge (H 0.6m; Wth 1.1m), with external fosse (D 0.4m; Wth 2.9m) E->SSE. Field boundary runs along outer line of infilled fosse SSE->NW, so that site occupies NW corner of field. Gaps in scarp at NNE, NE, E and S are caused by cattle accessing interior. Interior is level and under marshy pasture.
