What is recorded here

In wet pasture, 60m S of a field boundary running E-W. Enclosure (LI033-062002-) lies 60m to SE. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 125.02; AP 4/3631) as a sub-circular-shaped area (diam. c. 40m) defined by a fosse from SE-N-E with a central circular depression or possible ditch barrow (LI033-119----). Not visible on OSi orthophotos taken between 2005-12. Visible as a area clear of vegetation on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020. The monument is intersected at E by a drainage ditch/farm track running NW-SE. Doubtful antiquity, may be a drainage ditch rather than an antiquity. See attached Google Earth orthoimages and Bruff image showing monument labelled Bruff 125.02. Compiled by: Martin Fitzpatrick Date of upload: 17 April 2021
