In wet pasture 50m S of the townland boundary with Knockeravella and 40m W of a field boundary that marks the boundary with County Tipperary. Moated Site (TS057-019004-) 175m to SW. Depicted on the OSi 25-inch map as a raised roughly circular-shaped area (dims. c. 17m N-S; 20m E-S) defined by a fosse. Described in 1960-1964 as a; ’Platform 87 feet (26.5m) in diameter with traces of a bank at its edge and encircled by a 9 feet (2.7m) wide ditch which has traces of an outer bank. Platform 6 feet (1.8m) high. This earthwork is excellently preserved. Marked on the O.S. map close to the county boundary’ (O’Dwyer 1960-1964, 96; Cloghaready South, 64). Outline of monument is clearly visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12. Google Earth orthoimage dated 28/06/2018 shows extensive drainage ditches, running NE-SW, some have been excavated to the N and S of the monument and truncate the fosse at S.
