In wet pasture 10m S of a stream and field boundary that marks the townland boundary with Newtown. Barrow (LI033-166----) 50m to SE. Depicted on the OSi 25-inch map as a raised circular-shaped area (diam. 15m) defined by a scarp. Surveyed by the ASI in 2007 and described as a raised circular-shaped area (diam. 14m) enclosed by a bank (Wth 10.8m; H 0.35m) from SE to W reduced to a scarp elsewhere with an outer fosse (Wth 4.5m; D 0.15m) only visible from S-SW. Described in 1964 as a; ‘Platform 60 feet (18m) in diameter and 1 foot (0.3m) high. Encircled by a shallow ditch, 2 feet (0.6m) wide’ (O’Dwyer 1960-1964, 98; Rahard 77). Outline of monument visible as cropmark defined by fosse on OSi orthophotos 2005-2012 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 18/11/2018.
