In reclaimed pasture 1800m W of the summit of Derk Hill (OD 781 ft.). Ringfort (LI033-018----) 150m to NE. Monument depicted on OSi 25-inch map as a circular-shaped platform (diam. 24m) defined by fosse, intersected at SW by a post-1700 field boundary running NW-SE. Depicted as circular-shaped earthwork on 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Surveyed by the ASI in 2007 and described as a circular-shaped area (diam. 25m) defined by a scarp (H 0.2m) and fosse (Wth 3.2m; D 0.3m) from NNW-NNE. Outline of monument visible as a cropmark in NW corner of field on OSi orthophotos 2005-2012. On Google Earth orthoimage dated 27/03/2017 visible as a cropmark and field amalgamation has seen the removal of field boundary to N. The monument is not visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020.
