Crossing point over the Camoge River described by O'Kelly (1944, 23) as following; This ford was the crossing for animals and vehicles just below the primitive bridge (LI032-141011-), and was in use up to the time of the building of the modern structure [1930]. At that time the bed of the river was cleaned and deepened. In the centre of the ford before the cleaning there were three standing stones in a line across the river, which served to indicate the shallow part when the river was in flood. The stones still exist but are now completely on dry land. Marked Athnaneach on the O.S. map'.
