Standing stone described by O'Kelly (1944, 22) as following; 'A well shaped limestone pillar situated high up on the S. side of Knockainy. It is 4' 7" [1.4m] high and measures 1' [0.3m] by 7" [0.17m] at the base'.
In 2004 this monument was described as following: 'This standing stone is 1.5m high and rectangular in plan, measuring 0.2m by 0.3m at its base' (Condit and Coyne 2004).
