Ivy-covered ruins of post-1700 C of I church (LI032-072001-) stands in the centre of a rectangular shaped graveyard (approx. dims. 50m N-S; 36m E-W) enclosed by post-1700 wall with entrance stile at SW corner. Mortuary building of post-1700 date immediately S of church ruins. This mortuary structure is annotated on the 1838 ed. OS 6-inch map as 'Vault'.
Church and graveyard described in 1943 as following; 'There are considerable remains of a building on this site, but there is no architectural feature which would indicate the date of the fabric. The oldest tombstone in the surrounding graveyard (which is still in use) is a low slab bearing the date 1717. A charter of John given in 1185 and confirmed by Turlough O'Brien in 1200 granted the church of "Cahercornii" to Monasteranenagh Abbey (LI031-050004-)' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 180).
