In reclaimed pasture c. 450m E of Ballycullane House. In general vicinity of possible cairns (LI31-045/046-). Not marked on OSi historic maps. Low cairn of stones described in 1976 (NMI Topographical Files, 1976) as following; ‘circular spread of stones (D. 1-1.5m), 50m to E another spread slightly raised above field level. Third one referred to but not located’. The precise location of this cairn has not been identified and the cairn is no longer visible on aerial photographs. Field has been reclaimed and cairns were probably removed during land improvement works. See attached location map showing general location of cairns taken from National Museum of Ireland Topographical Files. Compiled by: Martin Fitzpatrick Date of upload: 2 April 2021

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
