In wet pasture 150m N of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Dunkip. Enclosure (LI031-130----) lies 200m to SE. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Identified as a circulars-shaped earthwork from examination of aerial photograph (BGE 1:5000 No. 37) of the region taken 03/11/1984 associated with Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraghleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-2012 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/02/2020 as a roughly circular-shaped area (dims. c. 48m NW-SE x 42m NE-SW) enclosed by a bank with traces of wide outer fosse from S to NNW, truncated at E by field boundary running N-S. External fosse appears to be waterlogged during winter months. See attached Google Earth orthoimages Compiled by: Martin Fitzpatrick Date of upload: 15 March 2021
