What is recorded here

In pasture, 35m NW of the Camoge River which also marks a townland boundary with Meanus. Enclosure (LI031-063----) lies 225m to SE. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Fully excavated by Margaret Gowen in 1986 in advance of the Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraghleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline and described as a hearth (Site 2/33/1; Bord Gais Eireann map 07/25) (Gowen 1988, 180). Monument is not visible on modern aerial orthophotos including Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
