In pasture, 270m SW of a townland boundary with Rathmore North. A moated site (LI031-020001-) lies 15m to S. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Described by O’Kelly (1944, 49) as a rough limestone flag, height 4’ (1.22m), width 4’ 6” (1.4m), thickness 2’6” (0.8m). It stands just outside the fosse of the rectangular earthwork [LI031-020001-] and at the NE corner’. Monument is visible as a possible stone on OSi aerial orthoimage taken 2005-2012 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
