In low-lying pasture, cut by land drains and watercourses, 350m SW of a townland boundary with Rathmore North. A moated site (LI031-020001-) and a standing stone (LI031-020002-) lie 165m to E. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument is visible as an irregular-shaped area (ha/acres) containing linear and curvilinear-shaped cropmarks, some intersecting at right angles and which appear to suggest an earlier field system. Monument is visible as a series of linear and curvilinear cropmarks on OSi aerial orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe aerial orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 25/03/2017.
See attached Google Earth orthoimage.
