In pasture, on gentle NE-facing slope. Circular area (27.8m N-S; 27m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.35m), with external fosse (D 0.5m; Wth 1.9m) and counterscarp earth-and-stone bank (H 0.3m) E->S. Much-eroded causeway entrance (Wth 3.5m) to SE. Field boundary skirts enclosure W->N. Interior slopes down gently to NE, and is under rough pasture except for two large whitethorn bushes in N quadrant.
