In flat pasture 450m S of the townland boundary with Ballynahown. The Early Christian monastery of Dysert Aenghusa with its round tower, church and graveyard (LI030-018001/4-) are located 400m to S. The site is not depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map but is depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a circular-shaped platform defined by a scarped edge. The site is faintly visible on the OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12 and on the Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. The levelled earthwork (ext. dims. c. 34m N-S; 32m E-W) is visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018 where an external fosse (Wth. c. 4.5m) is visible as a cropmark. The site is not visible on the most recent Google earth orthoimage 14/02/2020. The site is likely to be a ringfort.
