What is recorded here

In pasture, atop limestone ridge. Roughly circular area (45m N-S; 43m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank with external fosse (D 0.15m; Wth 2.4m) SE->WNW. Bank (int. H 0.15m; ext. H 1.45m) is much denuded by cattle, and is reduced to scarped edge (H 0.8m) WNW->SE. Fosse best preserved SE->SW, but barely perceptible SW->NNW. Counterscarp bank (H 0.55m) runs along outer edge of fosse SE->WNW. Interior, under rough pasture, is slightly higher in N third due to underlying limestone bedrock; remainder of interior slopes down gently to E.
