In low-lying marshy pasture; ground slopes away gently to SE to River Deel. Circular area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by earthen bank and wide external fosse. Bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.6m) is covered with dense overgrowth and has break (Wth 4m) at N. Fosse (D 0.1m; Wth 8m) is flat-bottomed, shallow and waterlogged in places. Interior is covered by dense overgrowth. Field boundary, shown on 1923 OS 6-inch map immediately to S of enclosure, has been removed. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011
