19th century Church of Ireland church built on site of medieval church of Kilscannell which stands in N quadrant of a rectangular shaped graveyard (approx. dims. 36m N-S x 42m E-W) enclosed by a post-1700 stone wall with entrance gate in centre of W wall. Described in 1840 as the 'site of the ancient church is now occupied by a small modern Protestant one, and there is nothing of interest to the antiquarian in the church yard' (OSL,. 48).
