The precise location of a children's burial ground known locally as a Killeen and located close to the River Gale in the townland of Templeathea East has not been identified. In 1838 the Ordnance Survey Name Books recorded that 'in the townland of Templeathea E., near the River Gale. A burial place for children' (OSNB Rathronan Parish, 1482).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
