In improved pasture abutting a stream forming the townland boundary with Ooolahills East on it SW side. The site has good views to NW to NE and reasonable views in other directions. Enclosure (LI025-019----) located 200m to WSW and enclosure (LI025-024----) located 280m to E. The site is depicted as an oval-shaped earthwork on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Depicted as a circular shaped earthwork or platform (ext. dims. 27m N-S; 26m E-W) on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map. The monument is visible as a roughly circular-shaped area of scrub woodland on the OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12 and on the Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Inspected by the ASI in 1999 when the site could not be surveyed due to dense cover of rushes and other scrub vegetation hampering surface inspection. The outline of a scrub covered monument is visible on Google Earth orthoimages taken 11/03/2014 and 18/11/2018.
