In undulating poor pasture, good views to NW to NE and reasonable in other directions. Enclosure sites (LI025-019/021/024----) are located 400-500m to N just beyond the N tip of the townland boundary. A number of potential ring-barrow sites are located between 50-200m to the N and W. The site is depicted as a circular-shaped earthwork or platform on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. It is later depicted as a sub-rectangular shaped earthwork (ext. dims. 22m NE-SW; 20m NW-SE) orientated NE-SW on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map. The monument is visible as a rectangular-shaped earthwork on the OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12 and on Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Inspected by the ASI in 1999 when the site could not be identified on the ground due to heavy rush growth which hampered surface inspection. The enclosure is visible on Google Earth orthoimages within hummocky rushy grassland taken 11/03/2014 and 18/11/2018.
