What is recorded here

On an elevated area of an E-facing slope, in pasture, with excellent views from N-E-S-SW and 200m NW of a townland boundary with Farranafina. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Within ringfort (LI024-079----) abutting bank at WNW. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2008 and described as a possible collapse into a souterrain which is visible as a sod covered, sunken oval-shaped area (12m WNW-ESE; 8m NNE-SSW) defined by a broad bank (Wth 8.4m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.2m) at SSW and a narrower bank (Wth 6.45m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 0.2m) at NNE. Monument is visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 25/03/2017.
