In low-lying, improved pasture cut by land drains and watercourses, in the valley of the Reask River 200m to S of a townland boundary with Reask. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as a subrectangular-shaped cropmark on oblique aerial photos (ASIAP, 118, 2 & 5) taken 23/08/2000. Monument is visible as a large subrectangular-shaped bivallate enclosure (70m N-S; 77m E-W) on OSi orthophoto taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018. Possible field system in field to N of moated site. See attached Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018 and ASI oblique aerial images taken 23/08/2000.
