On flat pasture, 200m ESE of enclosure (LI024-209----) and 330m SE of the townland boundary with Newtown North. The ring-barrow is not depicted on historic OSi maps, but is visible on OSi orthoimages taken 2005-12 or on Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 18; AP 4/3622) as a circular ring-barrow (ext. diam. c. 17m) and appears to be characterised by a central low mound defined by a fosse (Wth 2m), with an external bank (Wth 3m). The ring-barrow is visible on the most recent Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018.
See attached Bruff survey image showing the site labelled Bruff 18 and Google Earth orthoimage
