What is recorded here

On flat pasture 25m N of the N24. Earthwork (LI024-085----) 200m to W. The mound is not depicted on the OSi historic maps. The mound is visible as a disturbed area on the OSi orthoimages taken 2005-12 and on the Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Identified as a monument by the Bruff aerial photographic survey (Bruff 19: AP 4/3622). The mound (ext. diam. c. 21m) appears largely to be comprised of a ditched enclosure visible on aerial images. The site has been levelled and does not survive as an obvious above ground feature on Digital Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018. There is a potential ring-barrow 80m NW of the site (LI024-208----), it is faintly visible on the Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018. See attached Bruff survey image showing the ring-barrow labelled Bruff 19, Google Street View Capture 2019 and Google Earth orthoimage Compiled by: Edmond O’Donovan Date of upload: 14 September 2020
