What is recorded here

On SSE-facing slope, in wet pasture. Ring-barrow (LI024-065----) lies 110m to WSW. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a raised circular-shaped area defined by a scarp. Surveyed by the ASI in 2008 and described as a circular-shaped area (diam. 16m) defined by a scarp (Wth 2.2m; H 0.5m) with fosse (Wth 4.5m; D 0.4m) visible from SSW-W-N-E-ESE. The interior is bisected by a linear scarp (Wth 3.75m; H 0.5m) running WNW-ESE. A rectangular-shaped stone (L 0.7m; Wth 0.3m; H 0.35m) is visible in the NE-quadrant. A drainage channel and field boundary lie 6m to SE and 11m to NE, respectively. Monument visible as a circular-shaped earthwork on ASI aerial photographs (ASIAP 132, 36) taken 23/08/2000 and 05/01/2003.
