In low-lying, wet pasture, cut by land drains and watercourses, 40m W of a stream which also marks the townland boundary with Doonvullen Lower. Conjoined with ringfort (LI023-043----) to ESE and an enclosure (LI023-167----) lies 35m to N. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a roughly circular-shaped cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 174.1: AP 4/3711). Monument is visible as a circular-shaped cropmark (diam. 30m E-W; 28.5m N-S) on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 06/02/2018.
