In rough pasture on low hill overlooking a tributary of the Mulkear River, 60m W of the townland boundary with Curraghaveara. Enclosure (LI023-163----) located 170m to SSE. On the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map the monument is shown standing in the townland of Baskethill. However on the revised 1897 ed. OS map the ring-barrow is now shown standing in the townland of Clashbane as the townland boundary has been moved S between the two editions of the OSi maps. Not depicted on historic OSi maps or visible on the OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 252; AP 4/3715) as a ring-barrow. The site of the monument is visible on the most recent Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018.
