According to Kananagh (1973, 553) discovered in 1941 'during gravel operations ... when found it was complete, inverted probably over a cremation. However, the vessel was broken by the worker ... information supplied by Mr. John Hunt who recovered the broken vessel.' The restored urn in now in Limerick City Museum (see http://www.huntmuseum.com/collection/collection-items/hca-610.aspx). Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 25 November 2013
