In damp pasture, on a gentle SE-facing slope. Sub-circular area (25m N-S; 23m E-W) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 3.75m; H 0.85m) with a substantial external fosse (basal Wth 11m; overall Wth 19.55m; D 0.8m) and a counter-scarp bank (Wth 9.6m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 0.5m) best defined is well defined N-E; possible entrance (basal Wth 11m) at NNW and cattle breach (Wth 6m) at ENE. Interior generally level, with slight down-slope at W. Sinuous channel brings water into fosse (from nearby stream) through gap (max. Wth 10m) in outer bank at ESE. Outflow into linear channel (L 55m; long-axis ENE-WSW) from fosse at SW. Inflow channel into fosse is currently being in-filled. Other water channels evident within vicinity.
