In pasture, on top of rise. Only standing remains is ivy-covered stump of NW angle (external L 1.95m N-S; external L 2.7m E-W) of rectangular structure (c. 11m E-W; c. 9m N-S) otherwise reduced to sod-covered banks (Wth c. 1.8m; H c. 1.2m). Small wallpress on inside face of E wall. Most of lower facing is missing on exterior faces. Substantial block of fallen masonry lies immediately S of stump. Earlies mention of castle here mid-16th century when hely by Burke family (Westropp 1906-1907, 92-3). Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 30 October 2013
