On a slight E-facing slope, in low, wet pasture, with moderate to restricted views in all directions. The Ahanload River lies 50m to E, which marks the townland boundary with Boherload. Enclosure (LI022-240----) 85m to W and ringfort (LI022-045----) 90m to W. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as an oval-shaped cropmark on Bruff Survey aerial photographs (Bruff 50: AP4/3748). Monument surveyed in 2000 by the ASI and described as no surface remains visible. Monument is not visible on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13, although it is visible as a large oval-shaped cropmark (56m E-W; 50m N-S) on Google Earth orthoimages taken 25/05/2017.
