What is recorded here

Unlocated earthwork within the townland of Kilcaskin described in 1942-3 as following; 'This is a small circular flat-topped mound, partly dug away. It is surrounded by a slight fosse. The entrance is not recognisable. Its maximum height is 10' [3m] over the field level and its overall diameter is 66' [20m]. Situated in rich low-land' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 230). The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
