In pasture, on slight S facing slope. Earthwork first identified by the Limerick Gas Pipeline (Curraleigh West Map 7, Site 7/10; SMR File). Surveyed by ASI in 2000 and described as sub-rectangular shaped area (28m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.5m) visible from SSE-S-W-NW, levelled from NW-N-ENE, traces of an external fosse (base Wth 1.8m; ext. H 0.2m) from SSE-S-W-NW. The NW and SW corners are extended and raised 0.5m above the interior. Field boundary (a mix of drystone wall and earth and stone bank) runs along edge of interior ENE-E-S-SSE. Interior is level, dry and clear of overgrowth and level with external ground level on N side. Monument is visible on the Google Earth orthoimages taken 2020.
