In lowlying undulating pasture immediately S of access road to dwelling, 140m E of townland boundary with Ballycahane Upper. Surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a slightly raised circular shaped area (26.5m N-S; 27.1m E-W) defined by a scarped edge (H 1m) and an external fosse (Wth 3.6m; D 0.6m) from NE to NW, with entrance ramp (Wth 3.5m) at SW. A post-1700 field boundary runs radially from S and relic field boundary wall intersects scarp at N. Interior is level, heavily overgrown on margins and on E side.
