In gently undulating pasture with good views in all directions. The site of the 19th Century ‘Fort Elizabeth’ House is located 210m to SW. Surveyed by the ASI in 2001 and described as a raised circular shaped area (diam. 24m) defined by a bank reduced to a scarped edge (H 1.2m) and external fosse (Wth 2.1m; D 0.3m) that has been incorporated into a field boundary from SE to SW. The interior is level. The monument is clearly visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 14/02/2020.
