Ballynacarrig or Rockstown Castle (LI022-108----) situated on top of natural rock outcrop the edge of which may have been fortified with a bawn wall (approx. diam. 60m). The Civil Survey of Limerick recorded that Captain George Ingoldesbly, an English proprietor, in 1640 was in possession of 'one castle and Bawen thereunto belonginge' (Simington 1938, 81). Traces of a possible enclosure or bawn wall is visible on Digital Globe aerial photographs.
