In reclaimed pasture with moderate views in all directions. Enclosure (LI022-070----) located 50m to SW, enclosure (LI022-071----) 50m to NW. Possible earthwork identified on Bord Gais 1:5,000 aerial photo taken 03/11/1984 (OSi 3226). Surveyed by ASI in 2000 and described as a roughly rectangular-shaped area (27m E-W) defined by a scarp (Wth 2.1m; H 0.4m) visible from S to NW and NE to E with possible external fosse (base Wth 1m; D 0.4m) visible at W only. Relict field drains intersect at S. Undulating interior has a circular depression (diam. 4m) in SW. Visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 14/02/2020 as linear crop marks similar to surrounding drainage channels. Earthwork may be related to post-1700 land reclamation works.
