What is recorded here

Bivallate ringfort described in 1943 as following; 'This consists of a circular space enclosed by two concentric banks. Between the latter is a wide fosse. Traces of a stone facing on the outside of the inner bank still remain. The outer bank is very collapsed and remains for only half the circumference. It seems to have been altogether of stone. The entrance is not recognisable. The overall diameter is 210' [64m]' (O'Kelly 1943, 225). Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 03 January 2019
