On a slight E-facing slope, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Ringfort (LI022-001----) 20m to SW. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2001 and described as a slightly raised oval-shaped area (58m N-S; 52m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 6m; int. H 0.65; ext. H 0.7m) from SE-S-W-N-NE, which is incorporated into a field boundary from NNW-N-NE and a bank (Wth 6m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.5m) which is almost reduced to a scarp from NE-E-SE. The surface of the interior has irregular undulations, which may indicate internal divisions. A field system is visible to E and SE. Monument is visible as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
See attached sketch plan surveyed by the ASI and Google Earth orthoimage.
