In a complex of buildings situated between a public road to N and a watercourse to S. A townland boundary with Derryvinnane lies 230m to E. A watermill is depicted in this vicinity on the Down Survey map of Coshma Barony (Hib. Reg.). Depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a complex of five buildings standing immediately N of a mill race. These buildings which hasvbeen extended on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map are now annotated 'Corn Mill'. A similar complex of buildings are visible on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018. It is unclear if the present corn mill buildings incorporates fabric from the watermill depicted on the 17th century Down Survey map or whether it was built on the site of this mill or at a new location in the post-1700 period. It is also unclear if the mill-race is the same watercourse depicted on the Down Survey map. See attached Down Survey Barony Map of Coshma and Google Earth orthoimage.
